Costas Apostolopoulos, born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, developed a passion for Greek music as a young boy, picking up his first drum set when he was just 9 years old. A self-taught musician, Costas took to the stage professionally at the age of 13 playing music alongside his father John Apostolopoulos who played the accordion and later on adopted the organ. By the time he was 16 years old, Costas began playing weddings and parties throughout the Boston area. In the 1980’s he played with various groups, Nisiotes, Olympians, Avgerinos, with local musicians who entertained audiences in New England.

Costas started performing at New England area Greek night clubs the likes of Averof, Olympia, Schooners, Avalon, Roxy, Destinations, Fanatasia, Rex, Dionysos, to name a few. Playing with various musicians from Greece and Cyprus as well as local talent, he was fortunate to share the stage with many instrument virtouosos and recording artists from Greece like Giorgos Stabourlos, Dimitris Kordatzis, Stathis Aggelopoulos, Stamatis Gonidis, Manos Papadakis, Makis Xristodilopoulos, Yiannis Papadopoulos, Ilias Konstandinou , and many more.

During a 2 year residence in Greece attending The American College of Greece, Costas started formal musical training at Phillipos Nakas and then returned to the USA. As time went, on Costas wanted to gain musical training and particular Drum set, and studied privately with Gary Chaffee for a 4 year period, then later on with Bob Guloti, Dave Disenco, and James Murphy. Costas has been a member of orfeas since 2006.

Entrepreneur Profession, Costas is involved in the Design and Building trades alongside has spent over 25 years in Audio electronics, Reproduction systems, Acoustic design & integration in various formats in the Industry.

Costas is the founder of Metroform Design Construction, which is a turnkey Design Construction company. He is also the founder of Hybrid Audio Labs which designs and manufactures Horn style speaker systems for residential and commercial applications.

Other interests include Industrial Design, Interior design, Fitness, and Family. Costas resides in Boxford Massachusetts with his Wife Maria and their 2 children Eleni and Yianni.
